Shamanic power retrieval and shamanic soul retrieval are both healing practices within shamanism, but they focus on different aspects of a person's spiritual well-being.

Shamanic Power Retrieval

  • Purpose: To restore a person's personal power.
  • Focus: Reconnecting individuals with their power animals or spirit guides that have been lost or are no longer present.
  • Symptoms of Power Loss: Fatigue, chronic illness, depression, a sense of being "unlucky," or feeling disempowered.
  • Process: The shaman journeys to the spirit world to find and retrieve a power      animal or spirit ally for the individual. This power animal provides      protection, strength, and guidance.
  • Outcome: The person feels more energetic, empowered, and resilient. They often experience an increase in vitality and personal strength.

Shamanic Soul Retrieval

  • Purpose: To restore lost parts of a person's soul.
  • Focus: Healing soul loss, which occurs when a part of the soul dissociates or fragments due to trauma, shock, or prolonged stress.
  • Symptoms of Soul Loss: Feelings of incompleteness, dissociation, emotional numbness, inability to move past a trauma, chronic depression, or a sense of being stuck.
  • Process: The shaman journeys to the spirit world to locate and retrieve the lost soul parts, bringing them back to reintegrate them with the person's      essence.
  • Outcome: The person feels more whole, integrated, and able to heal from past traumas. They often experience an increase in emotional well-being and a renewed sense of purpose and direction.

Key Differences

  • Objective: Power retrieval focuses on reclaiming personal power and strength, while soul retrieval focuses on recovering and reintegrating fragmented parts of the soul.
  • Symptoms Addressed: Power retrieval deals with issues of disempowerment and lack of vitality, whereas soul retrieval addresses deeper emotional and psychological wounds resulting from trauma or severe stress.
  • Nature of Loss: Power retrieval is about losing connection with spiritual allies, while soul retrieval is about losing parts of the soul itself.

Both practices can take place in-person or remotely, and in short:

Soul retrieval helps you feel whole again.
Power retrieval helps you feel strong again.

These practices often complement each other beautifully.

1. Do I need to be present during my animal’s session?
For distance sessions, it's not required but can be helpful. Some clients like to be present to observe and hold space, while others allow their animal to relax undisturbed. Either way is welcome and equally effective.

2. Can this help with behavioural issues?
Yes, many behavioural challenges stem from emotional or energetic imbalances. Energy healing can support your animal in feeling more grounded, safe, and emotionally at ease, which can positively impact behaviours over time.

3. Is this a replacement for veterinary care?
No. Energy healing is a beautiful complement to veterinary medicine but not a substitute. Always consult your veterinarian for medical concerns. That said, energy healing can help ease stress, pain, and support recovery alongside traditional care.

4. How many sessions does my animal need?
Every animal is unique. Some may shift noticeably after one session, while others benefit from a few sessions to support deeper healing or ongoing support, especially in cases of trauma, illness, or big transitions.

5. Can energy healing be done for animals who have passed away?
Yes. Energy healing can offer peace and closure for animals who have crossed over, as well as bring comfort to their humans. These sessions can honour the bond you shared and offer healing for both of you.

6. What if my animal moves around during the session?
That’s completely okay. Animals often process energy by moving, stretching, sleeping, or even walking away. They’ll take in exactly what they need in their own time and way. The energy will always go where it’s needed.

7. Do you communicate intuitively with animals during the session?
Yes. I often receive intuitive impressions or messages during the session that may relate to your animal’s emotional state, experiences, or needs. These are shared gently and always in service of healing.

The core of healing work, the energy, intention, and intuitive guidance, remains the same whether we meet in person or connect from afar. Energy knows no bounds and is not limited by physical space, which means profound healing can happen at a distance, just as powerfully as it can in person.

In-person sessions may include hands-on energy work, time in nature, and connection with animals or horses (if part of the offering). The physical presence allows for a beautiful sensory grounding and shared ceremonial space.

Distance sessions are done remotely, and are just as personal and potent. You’ll be invited to create a quiet, comfortable space on your end to receive. After the session, we’ll share insights, intuitive messages, and anything that arose during the healing.

Some clients prefer the feeling of being held in physical space, while others find distance sessions more restful and accessible, especially for animals, young children, or those with mobility or location limitations.

It all comes down to what feels right for you.

This is why we begin with a free 15 minute connection call to discuss your/your animal's needs.
